There are two separate point systems on the Kaizo List: KLP, which belongs to levels, and PLP, which belongs to players and is calculated from the KLP of everything that player has cleared.
Every level on the List has a single fixed KLP value, representing how difficult it's judged (Not relative to the other levels on the list). There's no automatic formula for this number because it's decided together by the List Admins and the level's verifier and/or playtesters, weighing it against similar existing entries. Higher KLP means a harder level.
Verifying a level means being the one to beat it first, proving it's legitimately possible. Once a level is verified, either the verifier or the level's creator can get it uploaded to the ULB server and added to the List (this is why verifications require video proof. See the Submitting a Completion rules below).
Victoring a level means beating it after it's already been verified and added to the List. Every player who does this earns Victory KLP.
A level only has one verifier, and that role is locked in once the level is verified. The verifier can't also be counted separately as a victor on that same level. Each level only ever pays out its KLP once per player. Your Total KLP (shown on your Player Details page) is your Verification KLP plus your Victory KLP, added together across every different level you've cleared.
PLP is what ranks players against each other on the Player Rankings page. Not to be confused with your KLP total. It's built to reward Kaizo players who both climb high and clear a broad, consistent spread of hard levels, rather than just farming up a ton on easy ones. It's made of three parts added together:
PLP = Peak + Consistency + Breadth
Two things worth knowing: because Consistency uses a power less than 1, each individual clear matters a little less than the last one. Which means there are diminishing returns, but every clear still always helps some. And because your top 12 hardest clears get the extra bonus, your hardest dozen completions matter disproportionately more to your PLP than anything you clear after that. (nerd)
No secret ways.
A secret way is defined as an intentional skip intended by the verifier that dramatically eases specific parts of the level, framing an otherwise illegitimate completion as valid.
No timmy-levels.
Levels must have coherent, kaizo-worthy gameplay. A timmy-level is one with lazy or spammy design. For example, enemies mindlessly spammed everywhere with no actual design behind them.
No third-party external applications.
This includes auto-clickers, macros, or any software that eases or helps in-game inputs in any way. (Note: This includes any modifications made to the game itself, such as the ANARCHY Mod.)
Provide a recording of you completing the level.
The absolute bare minimum is footage of you beating the level, which simply means entering the exit block. A livestream VOD works too. Edited or spliced footage, or providing only a screenshot, is not accepted.
Show your completion going through in the same recording.
Verifiers: publish the level immediately after entering the exit block, on raw footage.
Victors: after completing the level, search it up in-game and show it displaying the Green Medal on the level screen.
Submit your record on the Submit page.
Sign in with Discord, choose whether you beat a level on the list or verified a new one, and fill in the form. You can follow your submission's status on the same page. Submissions are still accepted in the #submit-records channel of the Discord.
Include all the required information.
The Submit page asks for everything below. If you submit on Discord, use this format, otherwise your submission is less likely to be accepted:
In-Game Name: your name
Level: level name
Level ID: level ID
Completion Recording: YouTube link or livestream VOD
KLP Opinion: how much KLP you think the level deserves
Overall Thoughts: optional, but strongly encouraged. A brief description and opinion of the level goes a long way toward getting your submission accepted faster!
Legacy levels are not eligible for submission.
Completions of levels in the Legacy List are no longer accepted. Only levels actively placed in the Main List are eligible for record submission.
One account per person, under the name you are known by.
If you are already on the list, pick that same name when you sign up and send the claim request. I can see which Discord account sent it, so there's nothing else to do. Once I approve it, your record and all of its levels are linked to your account.
Do not impersonate other players or creators.
Accounts using a name that does not belong to them will be removed, and the name will be returned to its rightful owner.
Keep comments respectful.
Comments on levels and profiles are open to every signed-in player. Harassment, hate speech, spam and advertising are not allowed. List Admins may remove any comment that breaks these rules.
Rate enjoyment honestly.
Only players who beat or verified a level can rate it. The rating, from 0 to 10, is about how enjoyable the level is, not how difficult it is. Difficulty is already reflected in its KLP.
